The dissident wing of the American Right continues to show promise from a libertarian point of view, especially but not limited to foreign policy. Nothing is less fashionable than to support Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, but her recent statement about the situation and Ukraine is better than almost anything I've heard from that branch of libertarianism that's desperate to be reasonable, and nice, and palatable to the establishment, and be as compliant as possible with whatever the current obsession is, under the weird delusion that this will make them acceptable.

Search engine Duck Duck Go just announced that it would be downgrading results it considered "Russian propaganda." Blue-pilled libertarians will consider this a "market response" to the Russian invasion of Ukraine. We red-pilled libertarians are a teensy bit less naive than that. Plus a lot more in this episode.

If we're going to be faithful to the tradition of thought we have inherited, we must sometimes defend unpopular truths. If instead we'd rather jump on whatever the latest left-wing bandwagon is, then there's no point to our existence.

This is the backgrounder you need on the history leading up to the present moment. The great Scott Horton includes copious quotations from members of the foreign-policy establishment predicting exactly what is happening now, so if anyone is inclined to pretend that libertarians are "blaming America," they're going to have to argue like adults, if they can, after hearing this.
