A bill that became law in Missouri in June 2021 prevents state and local law enforcement from cooperating in the execution of federal gun regulations in the state. The Justice Department considers this a violation of the Supremacy Clause (of course). Missouri is standing its ground. Dave Roland, the chief drafter of the law, joins us for this episode. |

James Lindsay returns to discuss his new book on the origins and consequences of Critical Race Theory. Can it really derive from Marxism if it lacks the traditional economic analysis? Saifedean Ammous, who's written a brutal smash of the fiat money system, traces other problems to the perverse incentives introduced by the government's money. In this episode we discuss two primary ones: the substitution of industrial sludge for real food, and the introduction of inefficient and inadequate energy sources in place of ones that work. |

Saifedean Ammous, one of the great Austrian economists working today, has written a scathing indictment of the fiat money system, leaving no stone unturned in seeking out all the damage it does to individuals and society. |

In this episode I share with you the audio of a panel on which I appeared alongside Modern Age editor Dan McCarthy, at an Intercollegiate Studies Institute conference earlier this month. Although a conservative, Dan has much sympathy for the sane strain of libertarianism (represented, I'd like to think, by your host here) and thought it would be a good idea for a room full of conservative students to hear me. They'd never heard a libertarian who wasn't a leftist or a coward, he said. |

Angela McArdle, who is running for chair of the LIbertarian National Committee and currently chairs the Libertarian Party of Los Angeles County, joins us to discuss her ballot initiative to repeal the vaccine passport system there. Biggest surprise: how many progressives have thanked her for doing it, and how appalled they are that their allies support it. |

After speaking at an Intercollegiate Studies Institute event earlier this month (February 2022) I was interviewed that afternoon for their podcast, Conservative Conversations. I recently spoke to a group of young conservatives at an Intercollegiate Studies Institute conference whose impression of libertarianism had largely been formed by our worst representatives. I reassured them that we're not all cowards and leftists, and a very productive discussion ensued. |

In this episode I walk you through and comment on a bunch of primary source documents no teacher refers to and no anthology contains. But they exist, and they tell a story about the states and the federal government that the establishment would prefer you not hear. |

Samuel Goldman wrote an interesting article days ago for The Week in which he made the case for precisely this. It's actually a respectful article about us, which is rare, but where would be the fun without a critique by Woods? |

Adam Curry, former MTV VJ and now co-host of the No Agenda Show, joins us to talk about his work to keep podcasting, which has thus far had to deal with less content suppression than other forms of media, free from outside interference, so programs like this one can continue to bring you the truth. |

Eric Brakey and I have a wide-ranging discussion about the evolution of the GOP, what Trump should have done differently, the importance of Rand Paul during the virus fiasco, the slowness of the GOP base to appreciate how much they're hated, and a lot more. Thanks to Eric and his Free America Now podcast. |

The fanatics who have been trying to silence dissident voices have made it so doctors risk losing their licenses if they come down publicly on the unpopular side of a controversial medical topic. My guest today, Dr. Jon Ward, is trying to change that. |
